Refrigerated Box Trucks

A 14' insulated box, a Zanotti refrigeration unit and a liftgate, built onto a bare Ford Transit cutaway chassis

We took a cab and chassis with nothing behind it and turned it into a refrigerated delivery truck: the box, the cooling, the liftgate, a side door and a backup camera, all installed and tested in our Broomfield shop.

The full spec is below, so you can see exactly what goes into it. Every part of it can be changed to fit your route and your load.

Refrigerated box truck with the roll-up door open: Zanotti evaporator, E-track rows, side door with strip curtain and a diamond plate aluminum floor 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
The cold side of a Zanotti SFX238 system, mounted to the front wall of the box. The condenser sits on the outside of the box above the cab, and an engine-driven compressor runs it while the truck is on the road. Rated at 15,200 BTU at 35°F, with heat for winter.
A 2" foam insulated roll-up rear door with an inside emergency release. The opening is about 76" high by 85" wide.
Two rows of surface-mounted E-track down both walls, at 24" and 48", for strapping loads in place.
A 36" wide curbside door ahead of the rear axle, with a strip curtain to help hold the cold in during quick stops, and a fold-down step below it.
A flat diamond plate aluminum floor with no wheel boxes, two drain holes with valves, and a 12" aluminum kick plate around the walls.
A steel rear frame with a plastic thermal break, LED clearance and tail lights, and an ICC rear bumper.
Bolted aluminum grab handles at both rear door posts and at the side door.

Not in this photo: the refrigeration unit on the front of the box, the liftgate and the backup camera. They're in the photos below and in the full list.
