Prisoner Transport Vans

A 15-passenger Ford Transit turned into a secure transport van: three Havis steel partitions, guards on every window, and tamper-resistant covers on anything that could be pried at.

The full spec is below, so you can see exactly what goes into it. The seats and belts stay factory, so it still rides like a passenger van. Every part of it can be changed to fit how your agency moves people.

Prisoner transport van seen through the sliding door: Havis middle partition, belted bench seats, window guards and the jump seat cover plate 1 2 3 4 5
A Havis steel partition behind the second row splits the back of the van into two separate compartments, with filler panels that close the gaps at the walls and roof.
Punched, formed and welded 12 gauge steel behind the last row, with an emergency exit hatch in the top center section.
Interior window guards riveted over the side windows. We pull the factory interior to fit them, trim the headliner and panels around them, then put it all back.
The factory bench seats and three-point belts go back in after the partitions, so every passenger rides belted in a forward-facing seat.
The jump seat behind the sliding door comes out and a steel cover plate goes over its mounts, which clears the doorway for loading.

Not pictured here: the front partition, the tamper-resistant covers and the locking console. They're in the photos below and on the full spec sheet.

About the price

The starting price covers the upfit as listed above. It does not include the vehicle, radios, emergency lighting, or any other equipment your agency installs, and it does not include taxes or changes to the spec. Every build is quoted per vehicle, so your final price depends on your vehicle and what you add or remove.

Need lights and a siren too? We install those in the same visit. See our emergency lighting and law enforcement upfits.

Smaller Option

Ford Escape Transport Conversion

Only moving one or two people at a time? We also convert the Ford Escape. Setina partitions close off the back seat from the driver and the cargo area, the rear doors and windows can't be worked from inside, and a locking cargo box keeps gear secure in the back. It's a lighter, lower-cost option for detectives, probation and court transport, campus police and smaller departments.

Built on: Ford Escape, 2022 and newer.

  • Setina #10VS front partition, rubber padded and coated, with a polycarbonate window
  • Setina #12VS second-row partition between the back seat and the cargo area, with a polycarbonate window
  • Setina polycarbonate window barriers on the rear doors
  • Rear interior door handles disabled and rear window switches bypassed
  • Setina locking cargo box with a fixed tray top and a sliding drawer on a combination lock, sized for small gear, handguns and short rifles
