Sales Representative
Broomfield,
CO,
United States
At Volition Components LLC, we specialize in high-quality commercial van upfitting solutions for businesses in various industries, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and more. We are committed to providing customized solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. With strong industry relationships, a rapidly growing customer base, and a team of dedicated professionals, we're looking to add an enthusiastic and driven Sales Representative to join our expanding team.
Position Overview:
The full-time Sales Representative is responsible for growing Volition's customer base by selling vehicle upfitting services to commercial, government, law enforcement, and specialty fleet customers. This is an outside sales position. The rep reports to the office daily and spends much of the week in the field meeting with fleet managers, dealers, and agencies.
Day to day, the role includes prospecting and developing new accounts, maintaining relationships with existing customers, working with the team to prepare quotes for upfit projects, and following each opportunity through to close. The rep works closely with ownership and production to make sure every sale can be delivered on time and to spec.
The rep will learn our products and services well enough to walk customers through upfit options, understand their vehicle and operational needs, and recommend the right solution. This includes visiting customer sites, reviewing vehicles and job requirements in person, and turning those needs into clear, accurate scopes of work for quoting.
The rep is expected to meet monthly and quarterly sales targets, build a steady pipeline of repeat fleet business, and represent Volition at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions. After the sale, the rep stays the customer's main point of contact. They work closely with the production coordinator to schedule vehicle drop-off and pickup, keep the customer updated during the build, and follow up after delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Discover New Opportunities: Identify and engage potential customers through prospecting, lead generation, and relationship-building efforts.
- Present and Close Sales: Present our vehicle upfitting solutions to commercial, government, law enforcement, and fleet clients, address their needs, and close deals.
- Manage Client Relationships: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Internal Team: Work closely with the internal team, including our Production Coordinator, to schedule vehicles, provide customer updates, and ensure seamless execution of every sale.
- Sales Updates and Goal Setting: Report to the office daily for sales updates, goal setting, and collaboration with the internal team before heading into the field.
- Quoting and Scopes of Work: Gather customer and vehicle requirements and work with the team to prepare accurate quotes.
- Pipeline and Reporting: Keep customer activity and opportunities up to date in our CRM and report progress toward sales targets.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in sales, preferably in a B2B environment (experience in vehicle upfitting, fleet, automotive, construction, or industrial solutions is a plus).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage your own sales pipeline and meet performance goals.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Must be able to report to the office daily and travel locally to customer sites.

What's great in the job?
- Real Ownership of Your Results: Your success depends on your own effort. Nobody hands you leads, and when you close a deal, the win is yours.
- Room to Build: We're a small, growing team. There's no big sales department or playbook yet, so you'll help build it.
- Direct Line to the Owner: You'll work side by side with ownership. Expect honest feedback, high standards, and quick decisions.
- Hands-On Learning: You'll spend time in the shop learning how upfits are built, so you can sell with confidence and not guesswork.
- Every Day Is Different: Office mornings, field visits, shop walkthroughs, and customer calls. If you want routine, this isn't it.
- Growth Is Earned: Advancement is possible as the company grows, but it will come from performance, not tenure.
