Bomb Squad Trailers

A workshop, robot station and secure storage on a tandem axle enclosed trailer

We built this trailer for a Colorado police bomb squad. It carries the technicians, their equipment and the robot, with a place to work on scene and its own power.

Workstation, shelving, an explosive day box, a generator, A/C, exterior lighting, an awning and graphics, all installed and tested in our Broomfield shop. Every part of it can be changed to fit how your team works.

Bomb squad trailer with the awning out, exterior work shelf, side door with whiteboard, fold-down step and generator box on the tongue 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
A 12V Carefree Compass awning with a black arm set, plus an automatic retraction system that senses wind and motion. It sits behind the side door, so it doesn't block the entry.
Six Baja Designs LED lights mounted high: two on each side and two over the rear door, each set on its own labeled switch.
A 15" x 36" stainless steel shelf on fold-down brackets, about 45" off the ground, with wood backing inside the wall to carry it.
An RVLock keypad lock with a remote replaces the factory lock, and the inside of the side door is a 36" x 24" magnetic whiteboard.
A Type 3 explosive storage day box, 24" x 18" x 12" inside, bolted to the driver-side shelving.
A Lippert Solid Step that folds down with the door open, and a diamond plate cover over the step well.
A Westinghouse 4,000 peak watt dual-fuel inverter generator with remote electric start, locked in a Gen Secure II box on a tongue-mounted cargo tray.
Two 20 lb propane tanks in a rack under the generator tray, a 3,500 lb electric tongue jack, and a vented battery box with a Group 27 deep cycle battery.

Graphics Package

The trailer goes out wearing your team's name. We handle the design, printing and install of the exterior vinyl: large logos about 6 feet across on each side and 4 feet on the rear, plus smaller unit branding. You approve proofs before anything prints.

Inside, a CNC-cut unit logo hangs on the wall behind the workstation, backlit with LED.

Bring Your Own Equipment

Already have gear your team relies on? We install it, or prewire for it, so it's plug and play when the trailer arrives.

  • Robot video: your robot's video output wired to a 1080p recorder with its own screen, and on to the workstation monitor.
  • Connectivity: a Cradlepoint router mounted in the electrical cabinet, with its antenna on the roof.
  • Radios, laptops and chargers: outlets and power strips where your team will use them.

About the price

The starting price covers the upfit as listed above, including the graphics and the engineering drawings. It doesn't include the trailer itself, your team's equipment (robot, radios, Cradlepoint or other gear), or taxes. Every build is quoted per trailer, so your final price depends on your trailer and what you add or remove.
